Our Detachment

Air Force ROTC is a great way to obtain a commission as a second lieutenant in the United States Air Force. The Air Force is actively seeking highly qualified individuals to fill many specialty career fields; to include pilots for manned and unmanned aircraft, navigators, combat rescue officers, special tactics officers, procurement, finance and much more. Above all else the Air Force is looking for talented people to lead the greatest Air Force in the world. AFROTC allows you to develop your leadership skills, offers opportunity for scholarships and guarantees you a job in a challenging career field when you are commissioned.

Air Force ROTC, Detachment 915 is based at the West Virginia University campus, located in picturesque Morgantown, nestled in the beautiful hills of West Virginia. The area is rich in opportunities, offering many challenging outdoor activities throughout its scenic landscape, like whitewater rafting, mountain biking, trail running and hiking. West Virginia University offers high-quality, value-priced education that makes AFROTC at WVU a winning combination.

The Air Force ROTC program here is one of the best in the country. Our cadet corps average 80 highly motivated and talented cadets. This size allows the cadet wing to function smoothly and for the staff to offer personal attention to each student. We take pride in our ability to provide individual training to the cadets both in and out of the classroom.

Our mission is to develop quality Air Force Officers and provide the skills that will make them “Leaders for Life”. I invite you to search this website for more information and if you have any questions please call us at (304) 293-5421 or send us an e-mail at: det915@us.af.mil
